I am a native Korean speaker born in Korea. I have also lived in Seoul, Daegu and Busan, resulting in me having a neutral accent! I study Art and Museum Studies at Newcastle University in the UK, requiring a high level of English. Also, I have developed a lot of confidence and passion when it comes to teaching and learning about other cultures. I have friends from China, Turkey, the UK, France and many more countries! My hobbies are painting, cooking, travelling and playing ping pong, and learning about cultures. I'm also excited to learn about other peoples passions! I'm a member of my University Korean Society, and I love teaching people about Korean culture and language! This is my main motivation for becoming a teacher. Learning a language as an adult can be difficult and stressful. This is why my lessons are in a relaxed and calm environment; so that my student can develop confidence and enjoy themselves! Whilst my lessons are fun, I strive to make them valuable to my student. Together we can improve your language skills effectively and efficiently! Finally, I place a strong emphasis on flexibility and make a strong effort to adapt to students needs and individual interests. My lessons have many different aspects to them: We can FOCUS on: RELAXED CONVERSATION PRONUNCIATION LISTENING AND COMPREHENSION We can go through scenarios of daily conversations you would have in Korea. Hyoju's lesson was very fun and interesting! She's a really good teacher and very patient when asked to repeat words or phrases! The conversation was very natural and easy. Highly recommend her lessons! :)

Amazing first lesson with Hyoju today! She is attentive and easy to talk to about any topic. She also gives excellent feedback and will be able to understand or explain things in English as well if you need her to. I strongly recommend her and will definitely be booking more sessions myself!

Loved it! Hyoju created a great atmosphere. Though my Korean abilities are not good yet, it was very comfortable to speak. I feel that I can make good progress here, so I will definitely book more lessons here) Thanks!!

I glad that I decided to choose Hyoju as my teacher. We had a great time together and she checked my pronunciation and teach some grammar constructions as well. Can't wait to book next lesson!
