Hi, guys. I’m Yating. Firstly, let me talk about my experience a bit, shall we? Because it builds who I am today, it’s also the main source of my teaching style. I’ve studied finance for around 6 years. After I completed my master's degree at Cardiff University, I chose to go back to China to be an English teacher. During these 3 years in China, I started to teach Chinese as well. Meanwhile, I spent this time learning Chinese classical dance. Now, I’m living in France. I’m studying French at this moment because I would like to be a teacher of Chinese dance in France. Of course, I never stop teaching English and Chinese online. Because I love teaching, no matter language or dance!

With my passion and knowledge, I can surely help you to improve your skills in Mandarin. I have two-year experience in language teaching, ESOL, IELTS, and Mandarin. Compared with teaching in a classroom setting, I prefer to teach in a casual way that allows students to use the language naturally. Experiential learning can be an efficient method. As a new graduate from the university, I have limited experience in teaching. However, I took part in the CELTA training and acquired the certificate after obtaining my degrees. I have been a Mandarin teacher since 2010. At first, I worked as a mandarin teacher in a language training school. I love teaching there and I have got so many good students. They are not just my students, but also my friends. The only thing I dislike is that I can only use their textbook to teach and I noticed it doesn't suit every student. Then I found italki.
