I've been teaching German and English for more than three years and I've taught students from all over the world. For me, every student is special and I prepare every lesson based on your individual needs and goals. I also want to make my lessons fun and I put a lot of work into my students’ confidence to speak. Because in my experience, if you really want to learn a new language, you have to speak it as much as possible!

I have been teaching German as a foreign or second language for 20 years. and have tutored people from all walks of life, ranging from university students through corporate executives. I am very flexible in scheduling sessions, over the the weekend and throughout the week. I learned English and French in an interpreter school and attended classes in Japanese and Arabic. This taught me the challenge of learning a language.

Before we start with the lessons, I will evaluate your current level and your goals with learning the language. I will also find out what kind of exercises and assignments you prefer, as I am well aware, that every student needs a different approach. I am a very patient teacher with a good sense of humor who is convinced, that it´s a lot easier to learn a language while having a good time. During many years of teaching German as a second language I gathered a big pool of different teaching materials and I will find the right stuff to get you on track in a fun and easy way :o)

I am a professional teacher for German as a foreign language with more than 10 years of teaching experience. I have a master's degree in German linguistics. I can speak fluent Chinese, Japanese, Korean, English and French.

I started teaching German to international students in 2009 as a private tutor during my university studies. During that time I realized that this is my true passion, because I love to work with people and seeing progress in my students makes me feel proud and truly happy. After graduation I took several courses to become a professional teacher and soon got a job at a reputable high school in Taiwan. Besides teaches classes, I still tutor private students and currently I am on a temporary leave to travel the world, while still tutoring online and funding my dream through italki.

I started teaching German when there was a refugees wave in 2015. I helped countless migrants achieve C2+ level in German and which went a long way to improved their job prospects. I am now currently living in Australia teaching several people from all over the world. I noticed there is a high demand for German everywhere. I have also been teaching people on the Internet and face to face. I have experience with all age groups and people that knew nothing to advanced learners.

Mein Unterricht ist zielorientiert und strukturiert und mir ist es sehr wichtig, die Inhalte genau auf die Wünsche der Schüler*innen abzustimmen. Ich achte darauf, meinen Teilnehmer*innen die Zeit zu geben, die sie brauchen und den Unterricht mit Humor und Kreativität zu gestalten. Gleichzeitig liegt mein Fokus darauf, die deutsche Sprache mit Präzision und Klarheit zu vermitteln. My lessons are goal-oriented and have a clear structure. It is very important to me to tailor the content to the students´ wishes. I make sure to give my students the time they need and I also use humor and creativity to activate learning. At the same time, I take great care to communicate clearly and concisely.

Germany as the center of Europe has a strong influence by foreigners and their language. So when I grew up I developed a very nice sense about the differences in language by my Russian, Turkish, French, Polish, Arabic and Chinese friends. In University I gained the experience of how to be a teacher as I was giving tutor classes to my co-students. Over the years I developed a good sense about the problems my students have and how to help them understand in an easy way. I love to help people and it is a pleasure to find solutions and grow with them together to success.

I have been tutoring languages on and off, in person and online, since my days in Gymnasium. At university I studied German linguistics (and literature and philosophy), so we won't let grammar get in the way of things.

A language has different aspects: reading, writing, speaking and listening. Thus, we´ll cover all aspects during our lessons.

Working as a teacher is what I enjoy the most and it is always with great enthusiasm that I undertake new projects. It has become more of a passion than a job to me. You will receive my full attention and enthusiasm as your teacher.

I have been teaching on Italki for almost two years now. I can look back on teaching people from dozens of countries around the world. Young, old, children, teenagers, business people, students - people from all kinds of cultures and with unique expectations. Additionally, I had been a student myself on Italki for about another two years before. Since living in Melbourne, I have been teaching German via video chat or in face-to-face sessions. My students come from all over the world, from various age groups and have different skill levels. I really enjoy meeting people and teaching them my native language. It is important to me to create a friendly and judge free atmosphere for my students where they feel comfortable just speaking and asking questions.

I believe learning should be fun. I´m not a professional teacher but over the years I got quite a few opportunities to teach German and English for fun (sometimes, in Myanmar, for example, also for cookies...) and every single time it was a very special experience. I have been a Teacher on italki for several years. Before that I studied languages at the University (English, Spanish, French). I have a certificate for teaching languages to adult learners, but my experience expands to helping younger students with their school subjects (History, Literature and foreign languages). I also helped students from all over the world (mostly doctors and software developers) with job applications in Germany. At the moment, I'm doing my master of education in the subjects Spanish and Physical Education in order to become a high-school teacher. In particular, language teaching didactics is an integral part of my studies. In the past, I've worked in language schools in Germany and Spain teaching German and English. I've had the chance to teach kids, teenagers as well as adults. I believe, with the knowledge I've acquired during my studies mixed with my teaching experience and my own background as a language learner, I'm able to put myself into your position as a language student and design German lessons according to your needs.

For several years now, I have had numerous video calls with people from many countries of all continents including a lot of English, French and Spanish native speakers, practising my own foreign languages and helping them to improve their German.
